Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA)

Describes services for preschool through school-age students who are DHH in the Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia and New Brunswick). More resources for TDHHs can be found in the tab “Professional Resources” > “Deaf or Hard of Hearing”.

Recruitment and Retention of TDHHs in BC (2018) British Columbia Teacher’s Federation (BCTF) report

The report “Research: Recruitment and Retention of TDHHs in BC” (2018) describes research findings on a TDHH survey, policy documents and TDHH training programs.

Better Hearing in Education for Northern Youth (BHENY)

The BHENY Project unites and trains professionals who work with students who are DHH in Nunavut. The site provides information about the needs of students who are DHH given that there are no TDHHs in the region.

Explores the career of being a TDHH in BC, including providing information on salary expectations and remote/rural allowances.

Ministry of Education Manitoba

Describes services for students who are DHH in Manitoba and offers a variety of education and resources, such as an Educators’ Resource Guide and a DHH Toolkit.

Montreal Oral School for the Deaf (MOSD)

Provides a comprehensive description of specialized education for students who are DHH with a focus on spoken language programming.
